Flowing of Tributaries Into Wadi Al-Mjinin Dam, Monitoring Continues

Tripoli: The Ministry of Water Resources of the Government of National Unity reported flowing tributaries into the Wadi Al-Mjinin Dam on Saturday as a result of scattered rainfall in western regions of the country.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Director of the Dams Department at the Ministry, Engineer Salem Al-Sharif, explained that the amount of water stored in the dam reached approximately 3,123,000 cubic meters, out of a total storage capacity of 58 million cubic meters, while the amount of flowing water was estimated at about 473,000 cubic meters.

He confirmed that technical teams are continuing field monitoring in accordance with issued instructions, by monitoring water levels and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure rapid intervention in case of any emergency.
