Finance Minister meets World Bank Vice President

Manama, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Ousmane Dione, Vice President of the Middle East and North Africa Region, during his visit to the Kingdom.

The Minister affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with international financial and economic institutions.

He underscored the important role of the World Bank in bolstering economic development endeavors and advancing progress and prosperity across nations. The Minister highlighted the World Bank’s indispensable contribution to addressing various global economic challenges, thereby facilitating the realisation of social, developmental, and environmental aspirations for the collective benefit of all.

Furthermore, the Minister commended the efforts exerted by the World Bank in proposing and adopting developmental initiatives and programmes aimed at achieving sustainable development goals and meeting desired aspirations.

The meeting also discussed means to enhance cooperation and reviewe
d the latest developments and updates concerning the global economy.
