DUBAI: Emirates Health Services (EHS) has launched a three-day awareness campaign titled "Our Mental Health, Our Responsibility" as part of Mental Health Month 2024. This initiative aims to highlight the importance of mental health, reduce stigma associated with mental illnesses, and inform the public about the mental health services available at EHS facilities. According to Emirates News Agency, the campaign is taking place from October 25 to 27 at Mirdif City Center. Dr. Noor Almheiri, Director of the Mental Health Department at EHS, stated that the campaign aligns with the UAE's leadership directives to increase community awareness about mental health. The initiative is part of EHS's broader strategy to support sustainable development and ensure integrated healthcare services for everyone. The campaign features a variety of activities intended to enhance public understanding of mental health. Participants will receive educational materials and learn about the mental health services provided by EHS. The g oal is to empower individuals to seek necessary support, thereby improving their mental well-being. In line with the UAE's National Policy for The Promotion of Mental Health, the campaign aims to create an environment that encourages people to seek psychological help without hesitation.
