Tripoli: The electricity company has announced the temporary restoration of power to the Souq Al-Jum'ah area and its surroundings, as ongoing repair efforts continue at the local station. The General Electricity Company highlighted the relentless work of its engineers and technicians, who labored through the early morning hours to achieve this interim solution.
According to Libyan News Agency, the company stated on its official page that technical teams are actively working to replace the damaged transformer and cells. These efforts are a crucial step towards restoring the station to its normal operational capacity, ensuring a reliable electricity supply for residents in the affected areas.
The company also shared photographs documenting the diligent work of the engineers and technicians during the repair operations and power restoration process. This development follows a significant visit by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company to the Souq al-Jum'a Municipal Council. The visit included the mayor, municipal council members, the head of the municipal office, and representatives from the Souq al-Jum'a Social Council, alongside youth from the local movement and several municipal directors. The discussions focused on addressing the electricity challenges faced by the community, exploring solutions to enhance service levels, and mitigating issues related to load shedding.
