Egypt’s exports of medical and pharmaceutical industries increased by 30.4% to $450 million in the first half of 2022 compared to $345 million during the same period in 2021, according to the Export Council for Medical Industries (ECMI) on Friday 29/07/2022.
In a statement, the council said cosmetics exports increased by 72%, medical supplies and devices by 13%, and pharmaceuticals (42%) in the first six months of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021.
The exports of medical industries increased to some countries like Kazakhstan, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Tunisia, Bahrain, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Jordan, Tanzania, Rwanda, Djibouti, Burundi, Benin, Ghana, Congo, Brazzaville, Sudan, Senegal, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, and Brazil.
