Cairo- Egypt welcomed today, Friday, the approval of the House of Representatives to amend the thirteenth constitutional declaration, considering this step as important in terms of fulfilling the necessary frameworks to hold the presidential and parliamentary elections in Libya in conjunction with the earliest time, under the supervision of a neutral executive authority.

In a statement today, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry expressed the aspiration of Cairo to complete the Libyan House of Representatives and the state for their efforts in terms of preparing election laws, up to its approval by the House of Representatives.

The statement renewed the full support of the Egyptian Republic for the Libyan-Libyan solution, praising the efforts of the House of Representatives, the only legislative body in Libya and the Supreme Council of State.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry renewed its rejection of any external dictates to the Libyans or bypassing the role of Libyan institutions in accordance with the reference of the Skhirat Agreement, calling on all parties involved in the Libyan crisis to adhere to these foundations and unlimited determinants.

Egypt also stressed the need to stop external interference in Libya, the exit of all foreign forces, foreign fighters and mercenaries from it, and its support for the task of the joint military committee 5+5 related, in order to ensure and confirm the sovereignty and stability of Libya, according to the text of the statement.
