Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty briefed his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Atef on the updates of the Gaza War, and the contacts with active actors Egypt had been making to attain a ceasefire, contain regional escalation, and achieve pacification. In that framework, the Egyptian minister lauded the role played by Algeria in supporting the Palestinian Cause, especially its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council in 2024/2025. The two ministers met on the sidelines of an Arab League ministerial meeting, so as Minister Abdelatty expressed aspiration to elevate bilateral ties to the strategic level in both the political and economic realms.
