EgyptAir announces reopening of its office in Tripoli after a hiatus of 8 years.

Tripoli, 3 October 2022 (Lana) Egypt Air announced reopening of its office in Tripoli ,yesterday, after a suspension of 8 years ,in the presence of Egyptian Ambassador to Libya Tamer Mustafa and Consul General Ahmed Makawi.

EgyptAir explained in a statement published by Egyptian media ,that these steps come within framework of Egypt’s strategy to enhance cooperation with Arab and African brothers.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company of EgyptAir,  “Amr Abu Al-Ainin,” said in a press statement ,” reopening of the company’s office in Tripoli promotes the company’s presence in North Africa ,and comes in light of the return of air traffic between Egypt and Libya to normal, enhancing the close relations between the two brotherly countries in all areas ,and providing a better service for passengers ,especially with the increase of movement of the Egyptian workers to Libya, due to contribute to reconstruction of the country in which Egypt is strongly participating.

  EgyptAir resumed its flights to Libya months ago, starting in April with 5regular flights per week between Cairo International Airport and Benina International Airport in Benghazi ,in addition to operating some special flights and irregular flights according to demand for travel between the two countries.
