Egypt voices concern over Israeli operations in Yemen

Egypt expressed its deep concern over the Israeli military operations in Yemen, which are escalating tensions on all fronts, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs on Saturday. The ministry called on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid descending into more regional chaos. Egypt further reiterated its warnings of the dangers of expanding conflict in the region following developments in the Gaza crisis, cautioning that this could lead to a wider cycle of conflicts and instability. The statement emphasized the importance of international efforts to maintain regional security and stability. It also urged regional and international actors to fulfil their responsibilities to end the Israeli war on Gaza, which is the primary cause of increased tensions and current regional escalation. Furthermore, Cairo reaffirmed its steadfast position for an immediate ceasefire and unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid into the besieged strip.
