Egypt will take over presidency of the AU's Peace and Security Council (PSC) during October. Egypt will be president of the PSC, said its ambassador to Ethiopia and permanent envoy to the AU Mohamed Gad. During its presidency, Egypt will act to boost the role played by the PSC in maintaining peace, security and stability, as well as addressing security and development challenges in the continent in line with the AU's Agenda 2063, Gad said Monday.
