The ongoing development cooperation portfolio between ministries and national entities in Egypt and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has witnessed developments over the past periods, as it includes 45 projects and programs under implementation. According to the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the portfolio includes areas of climate action, enhancing efforts to adapt and mitigate climate change, developing small and medium enterprises, enhancing digital transformation through programs and projects in the communications and information technology sector, enhancing governance and developing institutional capacities, in addition to supporting the health sector. For her part, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, confirmed that the United Nations Development Program is a strategic partner of the Egyptian government in many areas that enhance efforts to comprehensive and sustainable economic development under the umbrella of the strategic framework for the partnership between Egypt and the United Nations 2023-2027.
