Economy Minister, Egyptian Ambassador tackle ongoing crisis

Salam expressed gratitude for Egypt's unwavering support and President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's backing of Lebanon in international and regional forums. The Economy Minister outlined Lebanon's dire situation, emphasizing the urgent need for humanitarian aid and adequate shelter for residents affected by Israeli attacks. Salam requested Egypt's assistance in equipping shelters, including facilities like the Quality Inn at Rashid Karami International Fair in Tripoli, which is accommodating displaced families. In turn, Ambassador Moussa reaffirmed Egypt's solidarity with Lebanon, emphasizing that Egypt remains committed to efforts for de-escalation and prioritizing humanitarian aid.
