ECFA chief: Egypt exerting utmost effort to support Sudan toward resolving crisis

Egypt is exerting utmost effort to assist the Sudanese people to put an end to the war, stop the bloodletting and restore security and stability to homeland, said Chairman of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA) Ambassador Mohamed el Orabi. Since the eruption of Sudan's armed conflict in April 2023, Egypt has given a due attention to the Sudanese crisis and underscored the necessity of respecting Sudan's sovereignty and its territorial integrity, Orabi said while addressing a symposium organized by the ECFA under the theme "Egyptian-Sudanese Relations". The ambassador said Egypt upholds the provision of support and humanitarian assistance to the Sudanese people, along with working on uniting Sudan's rivalry parties. ECFA head shed light on the distinguished, strong and time-honored relations linking Egypt and Sudan, adding that Sudan's security is an integral part of the Egyptian national security.
