Tripoli: A new duty-free shop has been inaugurated at the international arrivals hall of Meatiga International Airport in Tripoli. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to enhance the airport’s facilities and offer an improved range of services to travelers.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Airports Authority of the Ministry of Transport announced on its official Facebook page that the newly opened shop offers an array of products. These include distinctive local items and renowned international brands, aimed at providing travelers with a diverse selection and competitive pricing.
The opening ceremony witnessed the presence of several key figures, including Meatiga Airport Director Ibrahim Farkash, various airport department directors, airline representatives, and officials from multiple service providers and entities associated with airport operations.
The Authority further confirmed that preparations are underway to launch a similar duty-free shop in the international departure hall. Recent maintenance and development work have been completed, paving the way for travelers to explore the new facility in the coming days.
