The European Union mission to Libya said that it has funded the “Green Again” campaign, which is a campaign implemented by the “Chlorophyll” organization to encourage a culture of afforestation and to spread awareness of the effects of climate change and limit its effects on the planet.
This came in a statement issued by the mission on the occasion of the International Day of Planet Earth, which the world celebrates on April 22 of each year.
The European Union delegation indicated that the celebration of this day is an important occasion aimed at raising awareness and appreciation for our planet and its environment. This day also serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to protect the planet for a better future for future generations.
The European Union mission pointed out that climate change, pollution, deforestation and loss of biodiversity are among the main challenges facing the planet today, and it is of great importance that actions be taken to address these issues and protect the Earth’s natural resources.
