Tripoli: Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbaiba of the Government of National Unity directed on Saturday that a meeting be held between the National Oil Corporation (NOC) and the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), following a letter from GECOL regarding the fuel needs of power plants. According to Libyan News Agency, the "Our Government" platform stated that the meeting is part of ongoing coordination efforts to address operational requirements and ensure a continuous supply of fuel to power plants, thereby supporting the stability of the electricity grid and improving performance efficiency during the summer months. The meeting also aims to strengthen cooperation between the NOC and GECOL and to review operational procedures that guarantee the readiness of power plants and the continued provision of efficient service, according to the platform.
