The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hameed Al-Dabaiba, stressed today, Thursday, the necessity of activating the Urban Planning Department and developing its elements so that it can play its important role in organizing cities and regions in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
This came during the meeting that Al-Dabaiba held with the workers of the Urban Planning Authority, in the presence of the Minister of Housing and Construction, Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi, and the Undersecretaries of the Ministry, according to the Prime Minister’s Media Office.
Al-Dabaiba called for announcing transparently to all local and international companies to participate in the interest plan after evaluating it, dividing the companies’ work areas, choosing capable companies to be technical support for the interest, and starting the urban planning project and not delaying it.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister added that the suspension of the interest’s work during the past years and the existence of exceptional circumstances that our country went through, contributed to the increase in randomness and the delay in completing the procedures of the third generation, stressing the need to work today to address these conditions and not delay in taking effective and serious steps regarding this file.
In turn, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Urban Planning Authority, “Abdul Hakim Al-Sultani”, gave a presentation on the short-term plan of the Authority, regarding the treatment of slums and the development of approved plans.
