Tripoli: Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, met with a delegation of sheikhs and dignitaries from Gharyan to discuss their aspirations and bolster the state’s efforts to enhance security and stability, as reported by the Prime Minister’s media office.
According to Libyan News Agency, the sheikhs and notables from Gharyan expressed their complete support for the Government of National Unity during their meeting with the Prime Minister. They emphasized their backing of the government’s initiatives to unify state institutions, particularly the army and police, to enforce state authority and dismantle armed groups.
The delegation highlighted the necessity of establishing security and stability across all regions, remarking that these goals can only be accomplished by supporting official state institutions and empowering them to fulfill their responsibilities effectively until comprehensive, free, and fair elections are conducted.
The media office noted that Dabaiba commended the commitment of Gharyan’s notables and sheikhs, asserting that the government will make every effort to support security and military institutions, ensuring the expansion of state control and the enhancement of stability nationwide.
