Dabaiba Chairs Meeting to Review Work Plan and Projects of Economic and Social Development Fund

Tripoli: The Board of Trustees of the Economic and Social Development Fund convened its regular meeting for 2025 on Monday, chaired by Abdulhamid Dabaiba, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity. The meeting focused on reviewing the Fund’s work plan, development projects, and investment programs.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Fund’s Director General provided a comprehensive overview of the ongoing initiatives. This included the progress of project implementation, completion rates for financing and investment programs, and a detailed review of approved expenditures from the past period. The discussion also covered mechanisms for controlling and directing spending towards key development priorities, as well as addressing current challenges and enhancing decision-making processes within the Fund.

Dabaiba highlighted the necessity to improve performance efficiency and expedite work on crucial projects. He underscored the significance of transparency in expenditures and the execution of approved plans. Additionally, Dabaiba stressed the importance of expanding investment partnerships, particularly with the private sector, to positively influence the national economy and enhance services provided to citizens.
