Al-butnan: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) branch in Al-Butnan has uncovered a human smuggling hub in the Ain Ghazala area, leading to the arrest of 36 undocumented migrants of various nationalities.
According to Libyan News Agency, the CID, through its media office, revealed that a field force, supported by eight patrols, conducted a raid on a deteriorating house near the coast in Ain Ghazala. This operation resulted in the apprehension of 36 undocumented migrants who were found at the location.
The CID confirmed that these migrants have been transferred to its headquarters where they will undergo processing and legal procedures. Following this, they will be referred to the appropriate authorities as per the applicable laws and regulations.
