Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin stressed that the military cooperation between Russia and China is not directed against any country and does not pose a threat to anyone.

“We have repeatedly stated our position that cooperation between China and Russia is not directed against any third party, as it complies with international law and relevant practical practices, and poses no threat to any country. No one has the right to make irresponsible remarks in this regard.” TASS quoted Wang as saying in a comment on the Japanese Foreign Ministry’s annual diplomatic report (The Diplomatic Bluebook of Japan).

Wang called on Japan to correct its erroneous practices of escalating regional tensions, stop provocation and creating confrontation, and instead pursue a constructive policy to build a stable relationship with China.

The Japanese Foreign Ministry said in its annual “Bluebook” that the joint actions of the Chinese and Russian armed forces near the Japanese border constitute a source of concern for Japan’s security
