Tripoli: The Competition and Anti-Monopoly Council has reiterated its respect for the jurisdictions of the Administrative Control Authority and the Audit Bureau. It has called upon these entities to exercise restraint, prioritize the national interest, and adhere to the provisions of applicable legislation.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Council emphasized the importance of managing any differences of opinion within legal frameworks to bolster the stability of state institutions. In a statement issued today, the Council affirmed its full respect for the roles of both the Administrative Control Authority and the Libyan Audit Bureau in protecting public funds and safeguarding state institutions. It stressed that the current phase requires wisdom and responsibility to preserve public trust and enhance institutional stability.
The statement commended the institutional efforts in implementing laws and fulfilling oversight duties. It encouraged the consolidation of the principle of positive competition between the two institutions to serve the public interest and improve institutional performance. The Competition and Anti-Monopoly Council highlighted that any differences of opinion should be managed within the framework of the law, reflecting mutual respect and strengthening integration among state bodies to achieve the supreme national interest.
