Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat left on Friday for New York on a two-day working visit, during which he will participate in sessions of 'SDG Digital 2024'. During the sessions, Talaat is scheduled to review Egypt's successful experiment in the field of digital transformation. He will also take part in a session on the importance of using AI systems and AI-based innovations in backing sustainable development. The session will be held on the sidelines of activities of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79). The minister is set to hold a number of bilateral meetings with leaders of international organizations and representatives of international companies specialized in communications and IT to discuss boosting joint cooperation in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). 'SDG Digital 2024' will explore digital tech's role in sustainable development. The 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79) opened on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
