Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and Swedish Ambassador in Cairo Håkan Emsgård launched Saturday 5/10/2024 the 10th Techne Summit at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Techne Summit, an international multi-industry-focused investment and entrepreneurship event, aims to impact multiple sectors and stakeholders of the startup communities in the Mediterranean region through showcasing different technologies and their applications in each industry. Talaat reviewed free freelancing initiatives, launched by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), which help in job selection and offer a range of courses to enhance skills and capabilities, aiming to prepare professionals in freelancing. For his part, Emsgård emphasized the importance of leveraging the vast technological advancements in entrepreneurship globally. He pointed to the significant growth in the gaming industry in Sweden, Europe, and worldwide, as well as the rise of startups in Egypt and the growth they're witnessing.
