Collaboration Discussed Between Libyan and Egyptian Authorities to Combat Corruption

Doha: The head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, engaged in discussions with his Egyptian counterpart, Major General Amr Adel, on strategies to enhance cooperation in combating corruption and promoting integrity and transparency. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption in Doha, Qatar.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen partnership ties and facilitate the exchange of specialized expertise in modern oversight practices. Both parties reviewed avenues of cooperation, focusing on several topics related to combating corruption, promoting integrity, and transparency, and exploring ways to collaborate effectively in these areas.

The Authority emphasized that the meeting signifies a shared commitment to enhancing institutional performance and forging cooperative links between the two sides in training and the exchange of expertise. This collaboration is expected to contribute to achieving sustainable national development goals and bolster trust between oversight institutions in Libya and Egypt.
