Tripoli: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has welcomed the resumption of full diplomatic activities by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Tripoli. This marks a significant return after ten years of the embassy operating temporarily from outside Libya.
According to Libyan News Agency, the Ministry emphasized that the return of the Chinese Embassy reflects the strong cooperation and friendship between Libya and China. It also signifies the increasing confidence of international diplomatic missions in the improved security situation in Tripoli and across the nation, attributed to the efforts of the Government of National Unity.
The Ministry views this development as a catalyst for enhanced communication and practical cooperation between Libya and China. It is expected to create favorable conditions for joint projects in various sectors, including the economy, education, culture, and technology, benefiting both countries.
Additionally, the Ministry expressed optimism for the swift resumption of consular services to improve communication with citizens and provide better services.
The Charg© d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya conveyed his government’s gratitude to the Libyan authorities and people, describing the embassy’s reopening as a historic milestone. He reiterated China’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Libya and praised the cooperative efforts of Libyan authorities that facilitated the embassy’s return to Tripoli.
