Tripoli: The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Dr. Salah al-Din al-Namroush, chaired the annual meeting of the Supreme Council of Military Academies and Colleges on Monday. The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Head of Operations, the Head of Organization and Administration, the Head of Supply and Logistics, the Director of Training, the Director of the General Directorate of Military Accounts, as well as commanders and senior instructors from military colleges and academies.
According to Libyan News Agency, Lieutenant General al-Namroush highlighted the essential role of military academies and colleges in preparing qualified personnel for service in the Libyan Army. He underscored the importance of the support offered by various departments and directorates to ensure these institutions can fulfill their duties efficiently.
The Commandant of the Military College provided a briefing on key agenda items, focusing on the current training year. Discussions included evaluations, standards, training reports from military colleges, and their financial needs. The meeting also established the proposed number of new students to be admitted to military colleges for the next training year, a process to be overseen by the Recruitment and Reserve Department in conjunction with the Student Admissions Committee.
Further discussions were held on enhancing the academic curricula of the colleges to match modern developments in military fields, in coordination with the Training Department. Challenges faced by students studying abroad were also addressed, with solutions being explored to mitigate these issues.
