Chaired by Al-Dabaiba: High Council for Energy Affairs discusses strategic issues of energy file

Tripoli – Head of the Government of National Unity, Head of the High Council for Energy Affairs, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba, discussed yesterday the strategic issues of energy file.

This came during the 2nd meeting of the council that included ministers of economy and trade, finance, in charge of planning, oil and gas, the Heads of the National Oil Corporation, the Renewable Energy Agency, the representative of the Prime Minister’s Office, and the council’s rapporteur.

The meeting discussed a strategy to develop the production at the NOC, in addition to discussing cooperation with Eni company for marine area.

The meeting also reviewed file of renewable energy and put forward special proposals and recommendations, and agreed to submit them to the Council of Ministers to take a decision in this regard.

It is noteworthy that the most important tasks of the council are to supervise sovereign issues related to energy activities, and to prepare the country’s strategy in the various areas of energy.
