Celebrations of the 82nd anniversary of founding of the Libyan Army kicks off in Tripoli’s Martyrs’ Square.

Celebrations marking the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Libyan Army have been kicked off in Tripoli’s Martyr’s Square in the presence of the President of the Presidential Council, Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army Mohamed Al-Mnefi, Head of the Government of National Unity and Minister of Defense Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohamed Al-Haddad, a number of ministers, heads of staff for weapons, chiefs of colleges, academies, schools and army officers. The celebration began with a parade of the flag bearing, followed by cadets of military academies, border guards. Also participating in the parade were forces from the Oil Installations Guard, Supply and Logistics Administration, and Training Department of the General Staff, the Intelligence Department, the Military Engineering Corps, weapons and ammunition, military mechanisms, the Electronic Warfare Department, the Chemical Prevention, and a number of infantry battalions.

While the parade was taking place on the ground of the celebration, air eagles were conducting parade sorties in the sky of the celebration with the participation of the Air Force with the aircraft (34) and (171) on the 82nd anniversary of the founding of the Libyan Army.
