According to Libyan News Agency, the department explained on its Facebook page that after a specialized team arrived at the site and conducted a technical inspection and assessment, it was determined that the vehicle contained five artillery shells and a landmine connected to a remote detonation circuit. The team immediately established a security perimeter around the area and successfully dismantled and neutralized the vehicle without any injuries or damage. All necessary measures were taken to secure the site.
The Criminal Investigation Department affirmed its continued commitment to protecting the security of citizens and reiterated its call to avoid approaching any suspicious object or vehicle and to report it immediately to the relevant security authorities to ensure public safety.
