Baabda: Free Patriotic Movement leader Gebran Bassil began his tour in Baabda District by visiting the Monastery of St. George in Qsaybeh, followed by the Monastery of St. Veronica Giuliani, where he learned about the church’s history and the lives of the saints.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Bassil then participated in a breakfast in the village accompanied by local officials. MP Bassil emphasized that despite the difficulties facing Lebanon, everyone can contribute to local development through cooperation with the state and community actors.
The MP highlighted the Free Patriotic Movement’s role in defending the rights of Christians and stressed the importance of their political representation, underlining the need for coexistence with other sects without assimilation. Bassil also encouraged economic and tourism development in the villages, citing the example of Batroun.
