Basra Governor Meets A Delegation Of Emirati Businessmen

The Governor of Basra, Eng. Asaad Abdul Amir Al-Eidani, met a delegation of businessmen, companies and investors from the United Arab Emirates, headed by the President of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Abdullah Muhammad Al Mazrouei.

The media office of the Governor of Basra quoted him as saying during his meeting with senior businessmen, companies and investors from the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of the President of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Abdullah Muhammad Al Mazrouei, within the Iraqi-Emirati Businessmen Forum held in Baghdad, that it is important for Basra to be a gateway for businessmen Emirati business because the point of contact between Iraq and the Gulf is Basra.

It added that it is known among specialists in economic affairs that Emirati businessmen have internationally known successes in the field of various investments, as the UAE is considered the first in the Middle East and North Africa and the first in the Arab world in this field, and today the presence of the Emirati side in Baghdad is something that strengthens relations to attract investments and encourage businessmen to go to Iraq for real investment development in the country.

For his part, the President of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Abdullah Mohammed Al Mazrouei, presented the Governor of Basra with a commemorative shield from the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, appreciating the governor’s role in encouraging investment, especially after Basra’s success in holding the Gulf Championship (25), which sent a clear message that Basra is a stable, safe and attractive environment to invest inside Iraq./End
