Sulaymaniyah: Authorities in the Kurdistan Region issued an arrest warrant for the leader of the People’s Front Party, Lahur Sheikh Jangi. The warrant was circulated to all checkpoints and security forces in Sulaymaniyah.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the individuals against whom the arrest warrant was issued were intending to leave Sulaymaniyah, which led to the deployment of security forces to implement the judicial order.
A large security force was deployed at a checkpoint on the Sulaymaniyah-Dokan road, particularly after the arrest warrant for Lahur Sheikh Jangi was delivered to the security forces.
Lahur Sheikh Jangi is the leader of the People’s Front Party and previously served as co-chair of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
