The Turkish security authorities announced the arrest of a person suspected of belonging to the terrorist organization “ISIS” in Istanbul, who was planning to carry out terrorist acts in the city.
The Turkish security authorities stated in a media circular today that their specialized agencies, in light of prior information, carried out an inspection campaign in the Bahçeli district of Istanbul, and arrested a person suspected of belonging to ISIS, and seized two pistols, two stores of ammunition, materials used in the manufacture of explosive devices, digital equipment, and files of the terrorist organization in his home.
They indicated that after examining the digital equipment, it became clear that it contained videos of the terrorist organization “ISIS” about how to manufacture explosive devices, and that it was planning terrorist acts in Istanbul.
