Security forces in Maysan arrested an Iranian traveler and seized in his possession narcotic substances while entering the province through Al-Sheeb border crossing. The Maysan Police Command said in a statement: "K9 squads were able to arrest a traveler coming from the Islamic Republic of Iran with a kilo and a half of crystal narcotic substance in his possession at Al-Sheeb border crossing." It added: "The arrest operation was carried out after a thorough search by the K9 squads in cooperation with the rest of the force present at Al-Sheeb border crossing, indicating that the accused and the seized items were referred to the Narcotics Directorate in Maysan."
