Ambassador hails Bahrain-US strategic partnership

Bahrain Ambassador to the USA Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, participated in a round table session with the Board of Directors of the Council for a Secure America.

He commended longstanding bilateral relations strategic partnership, noting steadily-growing ties, especially in the field of enhancing security, peace and stability in the region, in which the United States of America plays a prominent role.

The ambassador highlighted economic and commercial ties, noting the Free Trade Agreement and the establishment of a U.S. Free Trade Zone in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He shed light on business opportunities within the development drive led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting the positive outcome of the 2030 Bahrain Economic Vision.

Addressing the session, he highlighted the importance of developments in the Middle East, which have a deep impact on global security and peace and the energy markets.

He urged continued international support to the region, highlighting the political, economic, security and social outcome yielded by the Abraham Accords.

He commended the US-support to expanding ties, referring to a bill issued by the US House of Representatives to encourage and strengthen the Abrahami Accords.

The ambassador underscored the need to continue supporting and advancing the success of the Abraham Accords to achieve a more prosperous and stable future.

The Board of Directors of the Council for a Secure America commended bilateral relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the USA, noting the presence of U.S Fifth Fleet in the Kingdom.

They highlighted Bahrain’s important role in supporting security and peace in the Middle East, by promoting the principles of the Abraham Agreement and participating in the historic Negev summit, which confirms the importance of multilateral cooperation.
