Algeria And Mali Call For Withdrawal Of Mercenaries And End To Arms Flow To Libya.

Algiers, Algeria and Mali have called for an urgent settlement for the Libyan crisis, an end to foreign intervention and withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign fighters.

This came in a joint communique issued at the end of the 17th session of the Algerian Malian Bilateral Strategic Committee held here on Thursday. The session was attended by Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtan Lamamra and his Malian Counterpart Abdullah Dioub.

The two countries voice their support for UN effort aimed at creating the legal, secure and material conditions for holding the elections on Dec 24, the Communique said.

According to the Communique, the two countries renewed their desire to upgrade relations in different areas, and welcomed the close analyses they share regarding regional and international issues.
