Al-Zubi Discusses Enhancing Military and Security Cooperation in Rome

Rome: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Salam Al-Zubi, met today, Thursday, in the Italian capital, Rome, with the Italian Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, and the head of the Italian Intelligence Service. The meeting was centered on strengthening the military and security ties between Libya and Italy.

According to Libyan News Agency, the Government Media Office reported that the two sides discussed aspects of bilateral relations between the two nations. They focused on enhancing military capabilities and supporting security coordination efforts. The discussions aimed at improving training and efficiency among military personnel, along with exploring strategies to boost cooperation in these domains.

The meeting also ventured into regional and Mediterranean security issues, alongside several matters of shared interest. Both parties expressed their commitment to extending the strategic partnership and emphasized the need for ongoing coordination and c
onsultation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, there was a mutual agreement on the importance of maintaining dialogue to further mutual interests. The discussions underscored the shared objective of supporting security and stability in the region, alongside deepening military and security cooperation between Libya and Italy.
