Tripoli: The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General "Imad Al-Tarabilsi", discussed today, Monday, with the Minister of State for Migration Affairs in Germany "Bernard Koser", cooperation between the two countries in combating immigration and training. According to the Ministry of Interior, the meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Public Affairs, Major General "Mahmoud Saeed", the German Ambassador to Libya, the Libyan Ambassador to Germany, the Director of the Immigration Department and the Military Attaché. The meeting discussed security cooperation between the Libyan and German Ministries of Interior in combating illegal immigration and border management and benefiting from security expertise and training to raise competencies. During the meeting, according to the ministry, the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in combating the phenomenon of immigration in cooperation with international organizations, and the operations of voluntarily deporting migrants to their countries, were reviewed. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs, Major General Mahmoud Omar Saeed, held a face-to-face meeting with the German Ministry of Interior, in the presence of the Head of the Passports, Nationality and Foreigners Affairs Authority, the Director General of Training, the Director General of Coast Guard Security, the Director of the Undersecretary's Office, the Director of the Passport Investigations Department, the Assistant for Public Affairs at the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency, the Assistant Director of the International Relations and Cooperation Department, and the Border Agency Delegate. The German side was represented by the Minister of State for Migration Affairs, Bernard Koser, in the presence of the German Ambassador to Libya, the Libyan Ambassador to Germany, the Director of the Immigration Department and the Military Attaché.
