Tripoli, Director of the European Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Iman Al-Talib, has attended the takeover at the Libyan embassy in Poland from former ambassador, Saleh Al-Makhzoum.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said that the procedures for handing-over the Libyan embassy in Warsaw from Al-Makhzoum took place in the presence of the technical committee accompanying the Director of the European Department.

In mid-February, the head of the Presidential Council, Muhammad al-Manfi, relieved Saleh al-Makhzoum of his duties as Libyan ambassador to Poland.

It is noteworthy that Saleh Al-Makhzoum was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Libya to Poland in December 2019 by a decision issued by the Head of the Presidential Council of the former Government of National Accord, Fayez Al-Sarraj.
