Baghdad: The Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, received Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani in his office in Baghdad. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed significant political and security developments in the country, highlighting the need for national efforts to safeguard stability and bolster internal unity.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the dialogue also addressed the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq, underscoring the importance of taking practical steps to achieve this national objective. The leaders agreed that such actions should be implemented in a way that maintains sovereignty and strengthens security.
In addition, the conversation covered preparations for the forthcoming elections. The emphasis was placed on creating favorable conditions to ensure the elections’ success, which reflects the Iraqi people’s will and guarantees a fair and orderly conclusion to the electoral process.
