Al-Sour Engages with UN Representatives on Judicial Unity and Anti-Corruption Efforts

Tripoli: Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour met today with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Hanna Tetteh, and her deputy, Stephanie Khoury, to deliberate on the critical issues of judicial unity and anti-corruption in Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, a statement released by the UN mission highlighted the discussions between Tetteh, Khoury, and Al-Sour, emphasizing the significance of maintaining a unified judicial system in Libya. The meeting underscored the need for a credible, independent, and trustworthy constitutional judicial framework, crucial for ensuring justice and legal integrity in the country.

Furthermore, the dialogue also focused on anti-corruption measures, which are pivotal in reinforcing state institutions and addressing the needs of the Libyan populace. These efforts are seen as vital steps towards achieving stability and fostering a robust governance structure in Libya.
