Al-Sisi and EU High Representative Call for Peaceful Resolution to Libyan Crisis

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, in Cairo yesterday, alongside Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Ati. According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting focused on various aspects of the relationship between Egypt and the European Union, while also addressing recent regional and international developments, particularly the ongoing situation in Libya.

The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency highlighted that both parties stressed the necessity of resolving the Libyan crisis through peaceful means. They emphasized the importance of maintaining Libya's unity and territorial integrity. Additionally, they underscored the need to protect the resources of the Libyan people and avoid any military escalation that could further complicate the situation and pose serious threats to the security and stability of the entire region.
