Al-Shahoubi and Al-Lafi Address Government Spending with UN Deputy Special Representative

Tripoli: Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, engaged in discussions on government spending mechanisms with Stephanie Koury, Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya.

According to Libyan News Agency, the meeting took place at the Cabinet Office and included the presence of Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi. The discussion emphasized the importance of reinforcing principles of transparency and disclosure, particularly concerning public spending.

The government’s media office highlighted that both parties underscored the necessity of ensuring the optimal use of financial resources. This focus aims to enhance the efficiency of government operations and secure sustainable development within the nation.
