Al-Seifaw and United Nations Discuss Enhancements in Libyan Vocational Education

Tripoli: The Minister of Technical and Vocational Education, Yakhlef Al-Seifaw, engaged in a detailed discussion with Nathalie Njebo, the representative of the United Nations Office for Project Services in North Africa. The meeting focused on support services for special category students within Libya’s technical and vocational education institutions.

According to Libyan News Agency, the dialogue included strategies for implementing sustainable development projects and equipping the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education with modern technologies. These initiatives aim to enhance the educational infrastructure and resources across various Libyan regions.

During the meeting, Adel Al-Shuwaidi, Director of the International Cooperation Office, presented a comprehensive visual overview of the Ministry’s office, highlighting the colleges, technical institutes, and their respective programs. This presentation provided the United Nations Office with insights into the operational and educational activities of the Ministry.

A significant outcome of the meeting was the agreement between the Minister and the United Nations Office for Project Services to sign a memorandum of understanding. This document will outline the terms of cooperation and coordination, paving the way for future collaborative efforts in advancing Libya’s technical and vocational education sector.
