Tripoli: Deputy of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, held discussions with the Chairman of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, regarding support for the electoral process and assessing the readiness of the Commission to conduct the municipal council elections “Group Two”.
According to Libyan News Agency, during the meeting, Al-Sayeh informed Al-Koni about the Commission’s preparedness to implement the municipal council elections and acknowledged the efforts of the Presidential Council in facilitating a smooth electoral process. He highlighted both practical and technical challenges being faced but assured of the Commission’s readiness.
Al-Koni expressed his appreciation for the Commission’s efforts to complete the municipal council elections. He affirmed the Presidential Council’s ongoing support, which aims to enhance the Commission’s preparedness and foster an environment conducive to successful elections. This support is seen as vital for ensuring the integrity and transparency of the elections, thereby contributing to stability and development across Libya.
The meeting, held at the Commission’s office and attended by member of the Commission’s Council, Abu Bakr Marda, concluded with an agreement to continue holding periodic meetings to ensure continued collaboration and support for the electoral process.
