Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, and President of the Congregation of Saints in Rome, Cardinal Marcello Semeraro, unveiled today the statue of the founders of the Maronite monastic orders, which was placed at the entrance of the Mar Mora Monastery, where the monastic orders were founded at the request of Blessed Patriarch Estephan Douaihy. The ceremony took place in the presence of the head of the "Independence Movement", MP Michel Moawad, a number of Maronite bishops, the general superiors of the monastic orders, and a crowd of believers from the region. The statue was donated by Zgharta's expatriate Joseph Halabi and sculpted by artist Nayef Alwan.
