Al-Menfi participates in commemoration of centenary of second battle of Ain Kaam.

Zliten–Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed al-Menfi, participated in the commemoration of the centenary of the second battle of Ain Kaam, which was held by the Islamic University of Asmariya in Zliten.

In a speech on the occasion, Al-Menfi praised the sacrifices of the fathers and grandfathers of this historic battle, against colonialism, and the land of Libya was soaked with their blood, for the sake of unity of the homeland, pointing out to the importance of commamorating such heroic epics, and caring for them so that they can be passed down from generation to generation.

Al-Menfi explained that the battle of Wadi Kaam is no less important than the battles of al-Qardabiya, al-Hani, Wadi al-Kuf, Jaliana and al-Salawi, Zawyet al-Qusour and many other battles, during which the Libyan mujahideen wrote an honorable national history in the east, west and south of the country.

The university organized a scientific symposium on the events of the battle and its political and social conditions, moderated by a group of professors specialized in history of Libya, to highlight its importance as a prominent battle that represents a comprehensive legacy for all Libyans, and a source of pride in the series of battles of the Libyan Jihad Movement, in defense of land and honor of Islam and Arabism, and to achieve the independence of the homeland.

On the sidelines of the commemoration of the battle, an exhibition of books and arts was held, which embodied the importance of this epic, which highlighted the sacrifices made by the fathers and grandfathers in defense of the homeland.
