Al-Menfi meets with the Mauritanian president.

Tripoli: The President of the Presidential Council and President of the Arab Maghreb Union, Mohamed Al-Menfi, met yesterday in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, with the Mauritanian President and President of the African Union (AU), Mohamed Al-Ghazouani, at the conclusion of his visit and participation in the 6th semi-annual coordination meeting between the AU, the Regional Economic Communities, and the African Mechanisms. According to the communication office of the Presidential Council, Al-Menfi congratulated the Mauritanian President on his election as president of the AU, his success in managing the AU, and his chairing the meeting's session. The meeting also discussed the elections of the AU Commission and Libya's right to assume senior and leadership positions in the AU Commission and the rest of the agencies and authorities, where they agreed to continue consultation within the framework of activating the role of the Maghreb Union and activating the rest of the AU institutions.
