New york: President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, met today in New York with the US Presidential Advisor for African and Middle Eastern Affairs, Massad Boulos. The meeting was also attended by Mora Namdar, Senior Official in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and Acting Assistant Secretary of State.
According to Libyan News Agency, the discussions focused on the bilateral relations between Libya and the United States, covering a range of topics including the political situation in Libya and potential avenues for enhancing cooperation on political, security, and economic issues.
The Presidential Council’s media office reported that the meeting also included a review of the latest developments in Libya, emphasizing the country’s path towards political stability and election preparation. Other crucial topics addressed were combating terrorism, tackling illegal immigration, and exploring cooperation opportunities in energy and investment sectors.
